Sandy graduated from UCONN with a B.A. in English and CCSU with an M.S. in Marriage and Family Counseling. She taught high school English for three years at Plainfield High School and one year at Old Saybrook High School. While pursuing CT certification in School Counseling, she worked as an administrative assistant and job analyst for both a stock brokerage and management consulting firm. She began her career as a school counselor in Watertown at Swift Junior High School where she worked with 7th and 8th graders for two years. In 1998 she began her tenure at Thomaston High School where she has served as a 7-12 guidance counselor for the past 15 years. This year she is responsible for grades 8, 10 and 12.
